well I think it may be time to cut down this " old tree" ....we had a summer wind and rain storm the other night that has broken away another huge branch ... thankfully landing on the yard side of the fence as opposed to the public road....I would imagine that she would be well over 100 years old judging by the size of the trunk and the age of our house.....she too once stood tall like her sister beside her providing shade and a soft breeze for the homeowners...but since that time...she has endured too many storms to sustain herself any longer.......I just don't know if I can call in the "chain-saws" just yet......any tree- huggers out there?...when do you know " its time" when it comes to a vintage maple tree?
