I lied...

okay okay I couldn't stay away without posting. Today started with Katie and Jamie being prodded out of bed early to catch the 8 am train with Daddy to go to his work downtown.... Katie still thinks dad works at the train station where he parks his truck ...and since Brian has worked so hard on those 5 degree's I think we owe it to him to set the record straight with our girl....LOL......they will board the train with coffee and hot chocolates in hand trying to find window seats........as luck will have it..a well dressed financial planner will move seats hoping that he can still get his sleep........but no such luck today cause my kids are on a field trip and excited to spend a morning in the corporate world with DADDY....as the train travels south towards downtown...my kids will be shouting after the conductor the stops and repeatedly asking when will they be there?...just as Brian's patience runs out....their final stop arrives........Union station .. the kids are off to the races... the rat-race that is... of young suited men with their blackberries in hand and pretty corporate secretaries fixing their hair before getting to the office.....through the eyes of a child one can only imagine how downtown appears to them....the nice old man with his guitar playing for the morning rush who leaves money out for the world to take....or how about the noisy taxi's that blast their horns letting the crowds walk in front of them... and that nasty smell lurking in the sewers wondering if all the mommies of the world dumped their babies diapers in there....... the kids are in charge of spotting the tall copper building that stands over 40 floors high.....that's the place....they find it and get on the elevator with the TV in it wondering why business people don't have the cartoon network.......they will head up about half way..the doors will open and Daddy's secretary Joyce will be in the lounge......no she is not someone who lives in the phone......they will make their way over to Daddy's office ..greeting many suited people along the way.....the office is a mess and the kids will have to jump over the boxes and papers to see the view out the window.... then will check out all the family pictures and ask a few intelligent questions like when is lunch?...and then wonder when mom is coming to pick them up....yes quality time spent with DAD...minutes later they are ready to go.........don't worry honey I am leaving now before I even get the call..........
